Resumption For 2020/2021 Academic Session With Virtual Learning

With the commencement of the 2020/2021 academic session, virtual learning will be a new experience for both new and returning students.

Virtual learning or remote learning, replicates the physical or traditional classroom, and its forms of operations with the use of computer, and the internet. Covid-19 came with so many negative effects that affected the conventional way of learning, but also brought about us looking at the bright side, that made us realize that learning can be possible via virtual classrooms..

Virtual learning requires the support of parents and teachers to make communication and learning processes balance. It requires connection with the students, because it is a completely different learning environment. Virtual learning requires more focus, and this is very important in brain development. Though sometimes, it could make you feel like school is always happening with no break or rest.

Virtual learning is learner- friendly compared to traditional classroom learning, because it is mobile accessible. But even with its flexibility, some rules governing traditional classroom learning still applies.

Some of them are:

  •  Waking up early, and getting properly dressed, helps your brain to be consciously ready for learning.
  •  All learning materials should be made available before start of lessons.
  •  Students should always be present for virtual lectures, except cases where they are unavoidably absent. Anything aside this is considered as truancy and could have a negative effect on the student.

With virtual learning, classes can be recorded, and this gives the ability to listen to lessons again when preparing for exams.

Virtual learning will develop students to be able to work and study independently, have access to learning materials, and help them master the use of technology. It also helps to monitor the learning progress of students. Parents and teachers can test the abilities of students on selected subjects, topics, and also test their time speed when answering questions for the sake of exams.

Students can now have the luxury of personalized learning experiences based on their needs from every lesson.

Virtual learning breeds new and fulfilling ways for students learning, and with an engaging curriculum, students will definitely be kept excited while learning.
