Parenting Tips That Will Improve Your Daughter’s Productivity in School

Parents play an important role in improving the productivity of the girl child. Helping your child achieve academic excellence is one of the most important parts of parenthood but above all, choosing the right private day or boarding school in Nigeria can also go a long way in helping your daughter become future productive leaders. We believe every child is unique and might have unique needs and parents directly or indirectly play a role in the academic excellence of their child.

Therefore, the way parents train their girl child to become better and achieve what they want is paramount. There are several ways parents can improve their daughter’s productivity so we have listed below some parenting tips that will help improve your daughter’s productivity in school and help her achieve academic excellence.

  1. Keep a very open relationship with her.

You have to maintain a relationship which is respectful, open and positive with your daughter as this makes it easier for her to open up about anything to you with the confidence that her opinions are respected and not condemned or judged, thus giving emotional balance to your daughter which is very important to achieve a positive educational result.

  1. Remain Positive

Try to teach and incorporate a mind of positivity by making your daughter believe nothing is impossible and the sky is just the beginning. You have to lead by example by always showing her the positive side to things.

  1. Create a structure

Create a structure to inspire her to be academically excellent. Try to create a structure that improves your daughter’s daily routine and lifestyle. You can create a routine or timetable for her study at home, schedule a time for her to watch TV or use mobile phones e.t.c. This helps improve your daughter’s productivity academically.

  1. Penalty & Reward System

It should be clear they will always be a penalty for bad behaviour and rewards for good behaviour, especially for educational achievements. This tends to keep your daughter at alert and always eager to work towards meeting new academic milestones.

  1. Be kind and firm towards her

Being strict, threatening or fiery would not help your daughter academically but rather scare her away from the obligations. Be kind to her in answering questions, help her in solving assignments and be clear and firm when she commits an offence while letting her know corrections are out of love.

  1. Overcoming Anxiety

Helping your daughter overcome anxiety is also one of the ways you can improve her productivity. Learn to encourage her in any school project, presentation or skill acquisition and not condemn or water down her work. This will boost her morale and improve her productivity academically.

  1. Social life.

Set out days for leisure and outings with your daughter. All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl. Spend more time with her during social activities. Do not only be concerned about academics but also how she is fairing in the social lives of others. Sometimes learning comes from socialization
