More than half of the population of the world are lackadaisical about going against the ideology of intolerance, discrimination and hate crimes and one of the only ways to change this feeling is education.

In my view, Education is the only weapon, which you can use to change the world, education again has proven to be the only solution to intolerance, discrimination and hate crimes.

Mother earth, full of seven Continents and over one hundred and ninety-five (195) countries enriched with millions of different human race, age groups, gender, religion, opinions, culture, sentiment, and beliefs. The world is all about diversity and that is what makes the world a beautiful place in that word BEAUTIFUL there is Beauty, love, tolerance, impartiality, lenience and acceptance.

• Intolerance is the unwillingness to accept views, belief, or behaviors that differ from one’s own. On the other hand, discrimination is being unjust or prejudicial treatment to different categories of people while, Hate crime is crime motivated by the feelings of hatred.
• The act of discrimination on the other hand is very common in a society and one of the main associates of discrimination is prejudice. Prejudices are caused when one group thinks they are better than another, which all begins by feeling superior to the other probably because that person might be lacking something.
• While hate crimes are committed against groups of people most of which are based on racial or religious bias. Racial bias is the largest cause of hates crimes, victims of hate crimes differ in the imprudence’s placed against them.

Intolerance, Discrimination and Hate crimes all occur on the grounds of racial difference, color, gender, religion, and ethnic origins amongst others. We as individuals have to help stop the menace in order to save the world from jeopardy. We humans all differ in one way or the other, all individuals have different fingerprints, which make all humans’ unique individuals. Hence the silver lining is that all HUMANS are of the same species, therefore we need to eradicate the view that one part of the world is better than other or one person is better than another because all it triggers is aversion.

Victims who suffer from racism, xenophobia, ethnocentrism, bigotry and chauvinism feel frustration and anger resulting to antagonism. As a result of which hatred and animosity is built thereby causing harm and destruction to any given society. Such traits have negative effects on people’s self- esteem, self-worth and general wellbeing.

Tolerance is the only real test of civilization and Intolerance leads to ruin, we as individuals can make the world a better place by being tolerant enough to understand and accept people in respect of their color, gender, religion, tribe or belief. Children all over the World should be guided in developing a good habit of tolerance through effective education.

Conclusion

The aim of education is to gain knowledge and with good knowledge you can fight discrimination. Education is the foundation, upon which we individuals can build our future, and also learn to endure and learn to accept and love one another.

To decimate Intolerance, Discrimination and Hate crimes we need to work together to educate each other, learn to endure and accept other people’s race, gender, religion, culture, age etc. as we accept our own family. In my view the solution to this menace is only Education, which can be used as a weapon to turn ‘intolerance to tolerance’, ‘discrimination turn to impartiality’, as Leo Buscaglia once said “ Change is the end result of all true learning”!
