Maryam Duba is an astute entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience in the areas of banking, public policy, power regulation, education and telecommunication. She has worked in strong institutions across different sectors creating value and immersing herself in making a difference in the society.
Given her passion for entrepreneurship and inspired by her family successes in business, Maryam established her first business as a distributer for MTN and established chains of outlets in Kaduna, Nigeria.
She later expanded through MTN Connect franchise, successfully creating outlets across Gombe, Bauchi and Kaduna.
A believer in education and committed to developing the minds of children, Maryam joined her sisters to establish Oakland School and Zaytuna Islamic School. Her effort was rewarded by the Abuja Young Entrepreneurs Award with the winning prize for Education in 2012. She also in 2012 went on to establish Noble HalI, A Leadership Academy for Girls.
Maryam has a BSc in Economics, a Master’s in Business Administration and is exploring her Doctorate with an International Citadel in the areas of Strategy.
