Grading System
Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls runs a GPA System. Our learners are rated based on the Noble Hall Grading system which is translated to GPA. This is one of the most important numbers that our learners are expected to keep an eye on.
GPA is a measurement of academic success in high school that colleges and universities always consider very strongly in the admissions process. It’s a numeric value that correlates with a learner’s grades. Each letter grade that a student earns is worth a certain number of grade points depending on how high it is.
A quick guide on
How It Works
Typically, we deploy the unweighted 4.0 GPA Scale because it is the most commonly applied GPA scale and is found in most high schools and colleges alike and very straightforward; essentially, the highest GPA that can be earned is a 4.0, which indicates an ‘A’ average in all classes.
A 3.0 indicates a B average, a 2.0 a C average, a 1.0 a D, and a 0.0 an F. This grading is applied to our extended learners in KS 4 (Years 10, 11 and 12 as well as the KS3 learners), the core in learners in KS 4 also have a GPA and grading threshold that interprets their scores.
Grade Table
Here’s a table that shows how this scale corresponds to each letter grade: (This table describes how the system applies to KS4- Years 10, 11 and 12 Extended Learners as well as KS3- Years 7, 8 and 9; and the core learners)

Promotion and repeat: A learners is expected to score a cumulative GPA of 2.5 with 5 credit passes in their core subjects including Mathematics and English to be promoted to the next class. Learners will repeat a class when they are unable to meet these criteria.
