Alhaji Lawal

Alhaji Lawal is a graduate of B.Sc. (Business Administration) with specialization in Marketing from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has a Professional Certificate in Investment Banking of African Development Banking Group Training Centre. Kankia has attended various professional courses locally and abroad including Harvard Business School:  Leading with Impact – On the Fast Track (Europe).

Lawal is a thorough Development Banker involved in project promotion, appraisal and supervision.  He was a nominee Director in over 15 companies spread all over the country and in different sectors of the Economy.  In fact, besides the usual contribution in Board deliberations of the companies, he has helped most of them in marketing their products and also in sourcing funds for their operations. He is also a strategic Transformation Manager.

He was the former Managing Director/CEO Katsina State Investment and Property Development Company Ltd. and is a Non-Executive Director, First Bank of Nigeria PLC.

Besides commendations received in the course of his normal assignments with his employers, he has succeeded in establishing and managing the Jigawa State Investment and Property Development Company and also re-organized the Jigawa State Transport Authority. He rose to the position of Executive Director at the New Nigeria Development Company Ltd, Kaduna and at various times acted as Group Managing Director of the Company. Also, he was a member of the VISION 20:20:20, SME THEMATIC GROUP.
