Islamiyyah Program

ISLAMIYYAH

As well as teaching Islamic Studies and Arabic in an academic context, our Islamiyyah programme is an integral part of extra-curricular activities for our Muslim boarders. We embrace the importance of these studies and offer a wide variety of opportunities for learners to enhance and develop their experiences of Islam.

Through learning and reciting the Holy Qur’an, learners can reflect on how their life and actions is shaped around their religion, as well as having the opportunity to participate in Walima. Visiting Imams support and guide our girls through their journey, ensuring they commit fully to their studies and prayers.

Although the programme is based on Islam and the morals and principles behind following Islam, our girls also learn many useful skills that can be adapted anywhere in life; they become confident public speakers, work as a team and independently, lead in prayer and actions and put research, revision and study techniques into practice.

The Islamiyyah programme is a well-regarded and popular programme that achieves success year after year, and helps, along with academic study, to prepare our learners for their future journey.

Subject & Objectives by Class

LEVEL 1 ↠ This is the foundational/beginner’s class.

LEVEL 2 ↠ This is the intermediate class

LEVEL 3 ↠ This is the final and advanced class. This is the class in which a learner is certified for and prepared for walima.

- Qur’an memorization (HIFZ),
- Qur’an recitation (TILAWA),
- Arabic phonics (HURUUF),
- Jurisprudence (FIQH),
- Tafseer/ Islamic morals and values (TARBIYYAH).

Learner Should Be Able To

Recite the Qur’an fluently
Memorize a minimum of 5 Hizb and a maximum of 60
Demonstrate excellent public speaking skills
Translate the basic 125 keywords of the glorious Qur’an
Exhibit basic Islamic research abilities

Islamiyyah Program
